Who We Are

The Mission of Greene Justice Architecture is to improve the justice system through the power of planning and design, focusing design thinking through a sustainability lens to provide facilities that improve outcomes for those who are in contact with the justice system.

We seek to:

-to create an experience of the police station, courthouse, and jail that are humane and uplifting to the human spirit, engendering a sense of hope and opportunity in those who come there seeking justice, and for those who dedicate their lives serving the goals of the system.

-to elevate the expectations of the justice system professionals about the type of facility that is possible given the constraints of budget, security, and operations.  Inspiring environments should be available for all.

-to collaborate with like-minded practitioners to work globally to implement this approach.

-to work in partnership with clients and communities to elevate the effectiveness of the justice system for the accused, litigants, staff, jurors, volunteers, and neighbors.  We believe in an inclusive participatory process where all are heard, where all stakeholders understand the reasons for decisions, and can accept the outcomes.  We link the power of design with sustainability thinking to seek outcomes that serve, delight and stand the test of time.
